On November 3rd, Crypta will perform for the first time at Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian death metal band has been gaining international recognition and will be joined on the lineup by Surra , DarkTower , Klitoria , and DJ Renato Lima .
The program, promoted by the production companies A Grande Roubada , Tomarock, and Submersa , features the biggest up-and-coming acts in Brazilian heavy metal. The highlight of the night is Crypta, who, for the first time, bring their unique blend of death metal to Circo Voador. Formed by Fernanda Lira (bass and vocals), Jéssica Falchi (guitar), Tainá Bergamaschi (guitar), and Luana Dametto (drums), the band is at the peak of their career, promoting their album Shades of Sorrow .
A band this intense also demands a heavyweight lineup. Surra, one of the leading names in Brazilian crossover, also promises to set the Circo Voador stage on fire with their energetic thrash punk full of political messages. With over 10 years of experience, Surra will bring all their hits, guaranteeing a fast and heavy show.
DarkTower, a well-established band in the Rio de Janeiro and national music scene, boasts an aggressive and technical blend of influences ranging from black and death metal to traditional heavy metal. With over 15 years on the road and acclaimed albums, they'll add a touch of brutality to the night.
From Niterói, Klitoria, with their punk, thrash, garage, and post-punk sound, brings an explosion of visceral and cathartic energy. After releasing the EP 190 , the band is about to release their first studio album later in 2023. And to keep the energy high throughout the event, DJ Renato Lima, founder of College Rock Party and resident DJ at various parties, will ensure the dance floor is always pulsating.
