Disney 's new film , Cruella , was designed to appeal not only to fashion fans, but also to rock fans. Set in the 1970s, during the rise of the punk rock movement, the film tells the origin story of one of the most sadistic villains in cartoons: Cruella de Vil .
Played by Emma Stone ( The Amazing Spider-Man, La La Land ) in the new film, the character is initially named Estella , a young woman who dreams of becoming a famous fashion designer in Paris. As the story unfolds and we see the emergence of Cruella , those more connected to fashion and makeup will be enchanted by the villain's edgier outfits, always featuring lots of black, pointed accessories and chains, and plenty of weight to emphasize the punk vibe. But one of the things that stands out most in Cruella is the soundtrack.
For a character so unconventional, out of the box, and full of attitude, it's clear that the music has to be up to par. The film's curators handpicked classics from Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple , and even a cover version of The Ikettes by Beatles . The film is already available exclusively on Disney+ Cruella soundtrack :
