Crowbar's leader comments on the similarity of the album cover to Metallica's new one.

Guitarist doesn't point fingers

Crowbar frontman Kirk Windstein posted a message on Facebook today addressing comments circulating online about the similarity between the cover of Crowbar's 1998 album "Odd Fellows Rest" and the recently revealed cover of Metallica's upcoming album, "Hardwired... To Self Destruct" .

In his statement, Kirk doesn't place any blame on the band, but says he's certain the musicians are familiar with Crowbar's work, since Windstein has toured with Metallica, playing in Down. Check out his statement:

“This is Kirk… To be completely fair, after touring with the great Metallica playing at Down… I know the guys know Crowbar. However, I seriously doubt that any member of Metallica stole the idea from us. Maybe the artist? No matter how you want to look at it… It’s a cool cover idea!!! Now James and Lars, go listen to ODD FELLOWS REST!!! LOL”.
