The Crobot released the music video for the track "Nothing" last Friday, the 16th. The song is featured on their sixth studio album, Obsidian , scheduled for release on September 13th.
The main idea for this video came from guitarist Chris Bishop , who wanted a video in the style of classic MTV. Along with vocalist Brandon Yeagley , bassist Pat Seals , and drummer Dan Ryan , they came together in the forests of Pennsylvania to pay homage to this.
Obsidian is Crobot's 6th studio album.
Obsidian will follow up the album Feel This (via Mascot Records), released in 2022, and will feature 11 new compositions filled with hard and stoner rock, the trademark of the American band.
The album was entirely produced by the band and recorded at The Machine Shop Studios in Austin, Texas. Mixed and mastered by Alberto De Icaza , the tracks on Obsidian delve into the deep waters of the human condition, intertwining myths and personal demons in each song.
