In a recent interview with the Australian website Heavy , Dani Filth , vocalist of the British extreme metal band Cradle Of Filth , spoke about the progress of the group's next album, which will follow Existence Is Futile , released in 2021.

In September 2024, Cradle Of Filth will tour Australia, and they plan to release a new single around that time. According to Dani, the new album will be released in March 2025.

According to the vocalist, pressure from the record label and constant touring are delaying the completion of the album.

The musician also said, as transcribed by the website Blabbermouth: “We’ve already recorded our collaborative track with Ed Sheeran , pop star and self-confessed Cradle Of Filth fan, but it will probably be on the special edition of the new album. I can’t say much more about it due to legal and bureaucratic issues.”

When asked about the musical style of the new album, Dani said: “It’s a step forward from the last one. Same producer and production values, but we approached it differently, so it sounds quite different… It’s hard to explain, it has a bit of the atmosphere of Dusk… And Her Embrace . In terms of vocals, it’s very diverse, aggressive and captivating at the same time. The last album was well received, and this one will be too.”

' Trouble And Their Double Lives ' live album released in 2023

Last year, fans were surprised by the release of Cradle Of Filth's first live album in over two decades, Trouble And Their Double Lives , on Napalm Records.

Furthermore, the live album was recorded between 2014 and 2019, capturing the visceral energy of shows in the US, Europe, and Australia during the 'Cryptoriana' world tour. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios , and with recordings captured by Danny B , this masterpiece features a selection of classics from throughout the band's career. A welcome appetizer for the long wait for the new studio album.

Furthermore, it presents listeners with a surprise: two bonus tracks and two new unreleased compositions, "She Is A Fire" and "Demon Prince Regent".
