Cradle of Filth is "exploring options" for a collaboration with Ed Sheeran.

The band's frontman said that bringing the partnership to life is proving challenging.

One of the most unusual collaborations may yet happen. Dani Filth , frontman of Cradle of Filth , confirmed that he and pop singer Ed Sheeran are "exploring options" for their partnership.

During an interview with Consequence of Sound (via Metal Injection ), Dani said that despite knowing it will be a challenge, Filth affirms that it's worth the attempt. “Ed expressed a desire to be part of a song, and at the moment we are looking at some options, and this is the most we can do. He invited me to his house – he doesn't live very far from me, probably 18 to 20 miles [approximately 30 kilometers] from where I live.”

“What interests me, if we undertake [the collaboration], is the juxtaposition between what we do and what he does. I think that’s a bit challenging.”

The frontman also said that he has worked with different names: “What interests me, if we take on [the collaboration], is the juxtaposition between what we do and what he does. I think that's a bit challenging.”
