Cradle of Filth confirms guitarist's departure

Guitarist Paul Allender leaves the band

In an interview on the Bleedin' Loud podcast, Cradle of Filth vocalist Dani Filth confirmed guitarist Paul Allender's departure from the band.

Filth explained that the main reason for Allender's departure was the time spent on his side projects, which were harming the band: "With him living in the United States and working with White Empress, he got a bit lost in that. I have my side projects, but they never got in the way of Cradle .

Dani Filth explained that Allender didn't join the band on tour with Behemoth earlier this year and that the band met two new guitarists: “Paul couldn't go due to personal reasons, so we brought in a Czech, Ashok, and an Englishman, Richard Shaw. And the tour was incredible, we had a lot of fun. They knew the band very well, so when we started writing new songs on the road, everything fell into place very well.”

The vocalist did not make it clear whether any of the musicians will officially become members of the band, but claimed that the collaboration resulted in eight new songs for Cradle Of Filth's upcoming album.
