As you saw on Wikimetal , the romance between Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson will be the plot of an 8-episode miniseries produced by Hulu.
The couple, who were married between 1995 and 1998, were the target of a huge scandal when a sex tape was leaked, placing both the Baywatch and the Mötley Crüe even further in the media spotlight and in the eye of the storm.
Recently, the first images from the series were released , showing actor Sebastian Stan ( Captain America, Avengers ) and actress Lily James ( Mamma Mia, Cinderella ) in character as their respective roles. The photos caused quite a stir online, especially due to the striking resemblance between Lily and Pamela, but the reaction also provoked negative comments from singer Courtney Love.
According to Kerrang!, Courtney reportedly used her Facebook page to express her opinion in a post that has since been deleted. In the post, Kurt Cobain expressed great frustration and disgust with the miniseries, writing that the whole situation is "outrageous."
“When Pam and Tommy’s sex tape was leaked, Patty [ Hole ] Melissa [Hole’s bassist], and I were recording an album and we were the only women in several studios in Los Angeles, where everyone, EVERY producer, crew member, and owner was watching this tape with great fanfare. It was disgusting. I forbade anyone from talking about it. It destroyed my friend Pamela’s life. Completely.” The singer also expressed frustration with the series’ lead actress, writing, “Lily James should be ashamed, whoever she is.”
Since the publication caused a stir, Courtney deleted the post and stated that she is taking a break from social media to focus on her work. The singer also said that Facebook is a "useless platform for artists" and appealed to the public to spend some time offline, subsequently stating that she is deleting the app.
