In an interview on Scott Ian's new radio show, Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor spoke about his time battling alcohol addiction. Check out his statements:

“There was a great war going on in my head, and that fueled the alcoholism. This happened because I had stopped using drugs when I was a teenager, so that wasn't the problem. But alcohol was the anchor I still had.”

I used to fool myself by saying I couldn't go on stage without drinking, like 'it's for good luck'. That was a lie from a drug addict.”

“Even today I have many friends who say, ‘If you start drinking again, don’t call me anymore.’ So, I know it’s still inside me. And I think that’s the difference between me and many people, that I can at least admit it. I just let alcohol in for a while and managed to get out of it. I feel like I’m doing my best work now, honestly.”
