In an interview on the show '2 Hours With Matt Pinfield', Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor spoke about the albums he admires from the Big Four of Thrash Metal: Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica, and Slayer. Check out his statements:

"The first time I heard Master Of Puppets, honestly, my life changed. But I can say that about each of the four bands. For me, 'Master Of Puppets' is the best modern Heavy Metal album ever made. Every detail, sonically, musically, in terms of production: it's just fantastic.".

I know there are guys who would argue with me about this because we're nerds about it. But for me, it's a template for every Metal album.”

Regarding Slayer, Taylor said: “As much as I love “Reign In Blood”, “South Of Heaven” really changed things for me. That album is perfect, it has everything.”

Regarding Megadeth, Taylor spoke about “Peace Sells… But Who's Buying?”: “If you talk about that album casually, you immediately talk about the title track. But people don't realize that this album is a riff clinic. You listen to it thinking, 'How did they write that, where did that come from?'”

"Among The Living" is Anthrax's chosen album: "This album is a sample of everything Anthrax is. Heavy riffs, crazy songs, and it has a fun energy that's missing from all the others. Anthrax isn't afraid to have fun. That's why they're one of my favorite bands to this day."
