Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor spoke in an interview on the Loudwire podcast about fan behavior at concerts. Taylor drew attention last year for Slipknot shows throw a fan's phone to the ground .

On Loudwire, Taylor commented on fans moshing during unexpected songs by the band:

“I’ve seen people moshing to the song Bother, and it’s pretty weird. Listen, if you’re doing that, you need help. You don’t mosh to Bother. You hold your phone up. It used to be lighters, now it’s cell phones. Or you stare at your phone, watching real life through your screen. That needs to stop too. Stop!”

When the interviewer mentioned fans filming during concerts, Taylor responded:

“It’s difficult for me because I’m the guy who threw a fan’s phone on the ground and got heavily criticized for it. But my point is: okay. Bring your phone, take pictures, do whatever you want. But why?! You’re there! Take pictures, whatever you want, but why are you filming? It’s one thing to film and another to stare at your phone while you’re filming. You’re there! Are you so afraid of real life that you can’t do anything but stare at your little screen? Ugh, it’s too weird.”
