Live In London will be released later this month.
The frontman of the bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, Corey Taylor, revealed that he will be releasing a recording of a solo acoustic show he performed in London.
Held at the KOKO concert venue on May 8, 2016, the performance, as is customary in his solo shows, featured songs from both projects and some covers.
Kiss, The Cure, Misfits, and R.E.M. are just some of the bands the vocalist chose to perform at the sold-out show.
In a 2016 interview with RockSverige.se, Taylor commented on the possibility of launching a solo career: “I always get asked about it. It’s a good problem to have, but at the same time, I’m in two fantastic bands, why would I have a solo career? I think it would be very greedy of me to do that now.”
He concludes by saying: “I’m very happy with the music I make in both bands. Do I have a solo album in mind? Yes. But I won’t do anything like that for a few more years…”
The Live In London will be available on their official website on December 18th.
