Corey Taylor of Slipknot has revealed his new tattoo, inspired by classic films from the iconic British film studio Hammer Film Productions , known for its gothic horror films that took off in the 1950s and 1960s.
On Wednesday the 12th, Taylor posted a photo of the work in progress on her Instagram, and included the following message: “The backpiece continues! Mr. Lee, done by my great friend @shanemunce at @pusssykattattooparlor dealing with me for 14 years haha! If you want an AMAZING piece when you’re in Vegas, give them a call.”
A longtime fan of horror films, Taylor was featured in the documentary In Search Of Darkness , released in 2019.
Corey told Syfy 's Metal Crush Mondays how he got started with horror movies: “My mom took me to see the movie ' Buck Rogers [In The 25th Century] ' when I was a kid. I must have been four or five years old, but the trailer before the movie was John Carpenter 's Halloween .' You have these incredible visuals, this feeling that it's autumn, it's Halloween, and there's just this guy in the background of every scene. I remember being paralyzed. Like, suddenly I don't care about Buck Rogers. I think that was the one moment in my life that really galvanized my taste for what my young mind thought was cool. It was actually a few years later that I actually watched [the movie] and to this day it's one of my favorite movies.”
Corey Taylor continues to make an impact as the Grammy-winning frontman of Slipknot and rock force Stone Sour New York Times bestselling author as well as an actor with a myriad of film and television credits.
Impacting generations of fans and peers, his voice roars across six Slipknot albums that have garnered millions of fans worldwide.
