Corey Taylor revealed in an interview with Kerrang! his plans and expectations for 2021. And it seems that all the rest the artist managed to get during the COVID-19 quarantine will be spent on his schedule.
“Regarding big tours, I want to finish the Slipknot ; we had so many dates planned that we had to postpone them,” he says. “I’m doing the CMFT before the Slipknot tours to kind of come back strong. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do that, and then see what happens after that.”
One concern that has kept artists and concert organizers awake at night for almost a year is the impact of COVID-19 on tours around the world, but Taylor seemed positive about the topic, “Obviously we don’t really know when [we’re going to finish the tour cycle], but with the decent news that the vaccines are looking promising, we have a good chance of making things up in 2021. Even if the winter is a little darker, maybe there’s some light at the end of the tunnel, we just need to get through this moment and hopefully get back to normal this year.”
“And I’m not anti-vaxxer, trust me!” he clarifies. “As soon as it’s ready I’m taking one, and I don’t care what anyone says: I don’t wear tinfoil helmets [used by people who believe in conspiracy theories], and I certainly didn’t vote for [Donald] Trump , so I’m going to take the vaccine for this damn thing.”
Continuing to look to the future with hope and excitement, Taylor also hinted that fans can expect to find him in other projects throughout the year as well, “I’ll probably move forward with the movie that I wrote the screenplay for, and I’m also planning on probably writing my fifth book, finally,” the work will follow the book America 51: A Probe Into The Realities That Are Hiding Inside “The Greatest Country In The World ”, released in 2017.
