Corey Taylor has already started recording his second solo album and promises that "no one is ready for what they are about to hear".

At the beginning of last week, Corey's bassist, Eliot Lorango , used his social media to post some photos showing the final pre-studio rehearsal and the first day of recording the album. This Saturday, the vocalist himself made the news official by posting a video on his Instagram where he shares details about the new project.

In the images, Corey Taylor is seen driving to the studio while saying he is "excited" for the new recordings and that he is looking to the future with a "heavier and faster" sound.

“It still has a lot of things from the first album and elements of Slipknot , Stone Sour … Things I’ve been doing for years,” says the singer, adding that it’s the kind of music he’s always wanted to make. “Everything is sounding so good that I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am to start working on it.”

CMFT is the name of Corey Taylor's first solo album, released in 2020. The album featured references to artists ranging from Johnny Cash to Alice In Chains .
