Corey Taylor , and screenwriter of musicals? That's what the Slipknot frontman's resume might look like soon.

In an appearance on the Twitch channel Talkuture last Tuesday, the 9th, the artist said he was "playing with the idea of writing a musical," and detailed his revelation, "[It would be] like a real musical; not Spamalot [by Monty Python ] or anything like that. Because I've kind of gotten into the habit of making concept albums, obviously, so I know how to tie a story together. And I've been playing with the idea of writing a musical based on the people I spent a large part of my 20s with in Des Moines [Iowa], like my crew, and how we all met, as misfits who came together and found each other, and we kind of saved each other."

“We all came from these crazy situations of emotional abuse and neglect and dealing with problems, but we didn’t know what the names of the problems were,” he continues. “The only thing that saved us was the fact that coming together made us feel like we weren’t alone. And it made us feel that if we had each other as support and as friends and as someone to talk to, maybe we could work our way through this. And at that time, I was exposed to everything, so much new music, so much different music, so much new literature, films. It was the catalyst for everything I am now.”

“So, it’s an idea I’ve been thinking about. Because I’m a stubborn person, I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it. But it’s definitely something I feel more passionate about now than I did about 10 years ago when I first thought about it. Actually, I’m definitely becoming more confident now about playing the piano, which is where I could write. It would just be something like another passion project, just to see what would happen,” he concludes.
