The fun video for “ Samantha's Gone ,” a solo song by Corey Taylor , has been given a pop-up version, with trivia about the cast and the music video appearing on the screen.

Regarding the video, Taylor said in a statement that the goal was to bring all his friends together in one place and make fun of bands that call themselves indie rock. The satirical band Steel Panther , along with a number of other names such as Jason Christopher, Christian Martucci, Dustin Robert, Zach Throne, Greg Grunberg, Ace Von Johnson, Travis Miguel, Jonah Nimoy, Dean Cameron, and Tom Sandoval.

In the video, Corey is just a camera assistant on the set of a modern band that's giving a terrible performance, irritating the director, played by actor Dean Cameron . Corey and some friends then go on stage to replace the artists. “Watching the first 'band' was great, and then being fired from our own music in favor of Steel Panther was just the icing on the cake,” Taylor said.
