Last Friday, March 20th, Corey Taylor had to cancel a solo performance at the Astronomicon that was scheduled for this weekend because he tested positive for COVID-19 . At the time, Taylor revealed that he was "very sick" but not worried because he was vaccinated.
To reassure fans, the singer's wife used her Twitter profile to give updates on her husband's health. Alicia Taylor wrote:
"I wanted to update you all: Corey is doing well and appreciates your thoughts and sweet messages. I'm ready to take him home as soon as it's safe to care for him! (Luckily) he hasn't grasped the concepts of smell and taste, so I've been sending him absurd amounts of treats, supplements, and delicious desserts."
Corey Taylor had started a tour and is currently away from home in social isolation, but should be able to return once his condition is no longer contagious.
