Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor announced on Friday that the band will have to cancel shows on their current tour because he needs to undergo spinal surgery.
The vocalist later gave more details about the procedure on Twitter: “Basically I broke my neck and didn’t realize it. I had to have a disc replacement and work done on my vertebrae.”

After rumors surfaced that the vocalist had a serious health problem, Taylor also tweeted: “Enough with the conspiracy theories. I quit smoking because I wanted to. I had to have emergency surgery because problems showed up in my physical exam. Calm down.”
