Griffin Taylor , vocalist of Vended and son of Corey Taylor , is uncomfortable with comparisons of the band to Slipknot . The group also includes Simon Crahan , son of Shawn “Clown” Crahan .

Comparisons online range from Vended's sound to Griffin's voice and stage presence, with some comments even suggesting he 's a better vocalist than Corey .

In a recent interview with Knotfest , Griffin said that he reads people's reactions on social media – and often gets upset by that kind of content. “Personally, I see people's responses and I get a lot of good responses because I love the audience. I love the fans because they were there for my dad and they'll be there for me, I'm not going to force them into that. But we do get negative reactions because of the comparisons and the similarities. But we are different,” he began.

With only one EP released and their first shows under their belt, the band is already dealing with the dark side of fame. “There were times when I read some hateful comments on YouTube and I literally went to the bathroom, filled the bathtub, and immediately started crying,” they said. “I was just in a bad place before we started, and now I’m in a good place because I’m with my friends.”
