Guitars and basses were taken
According to the Des Moines Register, the home of Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor was burgled. The stolen equipment is worth approximately US$36,000.
Among the stolen equipment were two bass guitars belonging to Paul Gray, the late bassist of Slipknot. Taylor claims he was robbed by a friend while he and his wife were traveling in Europe last month.
So far, no official charges have been filed, but several of Taylor's friends have pointed to a suspect. One of them claimed to have overheard the individual talking to a local instrument store, attempting to sell the equipment.
Des Moines police said they have recovered some of the equipment, but it is still unknown how much is still missing.
Slipknot is one of the headliners at Monsters of Rock 2013, and will be playing on the first day of the festival, October 19th. See here for ticket information and other confirmed bands.
