Corey Taylor , vocalist for Slipknot , has suspended his solo tour after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. Four days after the diagnosis announcement, the musician used social media to update fans on his current health status.

Among the symptoms described by the singer, the fever and body aches have already passed, but the nasal congestion and excessive sweating continue. "I'm out of danger," he assured. "I'm recovering slowly but surely. It shouldn't be long until I test negative, so that's great."

According to Alicia , the singer's wife , the symptoms of loss of taste and smell did not manifest. "I've been sending him absurd amounts of snacks, supplements, and delicious desserts," she said.

Taylor had already received both doses of the vaccine when he contracted the virus, but he attributes his rapid recovery to the immunization. “I also want to say that, because I was vaccinated, I truly believe that’s what helped me get through it. I mean, I’ve never been so sick in my entire life,” he said. “If I hadn’t been vaccinated, I shudder to think how bad it would have been. But, because I had that little bit of extra protection, man, that definitely helped me get through it.”

To conclude the message, the vocalist left a message of encouragement for those who have not yet decided on the vaccine. "If you're still on the fence, I'm telling you now that it's the best thing you can do for yourself," he stated.
