Stone Sour will be touring with Ozzy Osbourne
Corey Taylor spoke with Ohio radio station 96 Rock in the United States and revealed that Ozzy Osbourne was one of his biggest influences.
The vocalist and his band Stone Sour will be touring with the Prince of Darkness for his farewell No More Tours 2. The series of shows will begin in Allentown, Pennsylvania on August 30th and end on October 13th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Speaking about the tour, Corey said he's very excited: "We've been talking about this for a while, you know. We knew it could happen, but when they told us we got the job, we freaked out."
Corey, who is also the frontman of Slipknot, revealed that "without Ozzy, I wouldn't exist ." He goes on to say that he's not just a fan, "I've known that family for 20 years and the support they've given me during all that time is incredible. And now this with Stone Sour..."
Asked about Ozzy's farewell tour, Corey says he doesn't know if he should believe this will really be the musician's last. "It seems like everyone's saying, 'Let's stop. No, we're just kidding.'"
Stone Sour is currently on tour to promote their latest album Hydrograd (2017) without guitarist Josh Rand , who has had to step away to undergo treatment.
