The Slipknot singer talks about his most uncomfortable masks and his favorite one.

In a recent interview with Kerrang! , Corey Taylor , frontman of Slipknot , reveals the most uncomfortable masks he's worn during concerts. Unfortunately, singing heavy metal while wearing heavy masks creates several problems, such as increased temperature and partial vision loss.

“The worst was my original mask with dreadlocks ,” Taylor declares. “Any mask that covers the entire face makes [the performance] very difficult. When you’re wearing a half-mask or whatever, at least you don’t feel like you’re singing in a porta-potty. But when the mask is completely closed, you put on this giant rubber cap and it’s really bad. So that’s the worst, besides the Iowa , because they’re basically variations of the same thing,” the singer continues.

"Certainly, the mask from Vol. 3 was the most comfortable. But it was also the most difficult to wear and sing at the same time. I always make sure the rubber isn't covering my mouth so I can put the microphone right up to it," he adds.
