This Friday, the 20th, Corey Taylor Astronomicon 's social media revealing that he will not be able to attend the event this weekend because he tested positive for COVID-19. Taylor was expected to perform as a solo artist.

In a video of just under a minute, the singer appears speaking with a hoarse voice and lamenting his absence from the event. “Hello, Astronomicon , this is Corey. I hope everyone is doing well. I wish I had better news. I woke up today and tested positive [for COVID-19] and I’m very, very sick, so I won’t be able to be there this weekend and I’m absolutely devastated. I’m so sorry,” said the singer.

“I hope everyone has fun and I promise I’ll try to come back as soon as possible,” he promised. “I’ll get better, the worst part is the flu. I’m vaccinated, so I’m not worried, but I don’t want to spread the virus to anyone else. Stay safe and thank you very much. I’ll see you again, I promise.”

Corey Taylor was one of the first artists to resume performing in the United States and criticized people's reluctance to get vaccinated , blaming "disgusting conspiracy theories" that have "demonized" the vaccine.
