The cover was recorded in July.

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor performed a Tom Petty cover during a visit to a radio station in Boston, United States.

The performance took place in July, and with the musician's death this Monday, the 2nd, the radio station has re-broadcast the video.

Before starting to play the track, Taylor confesses that it's been a while since he last played "You Got Lucky," but right from the first notes, the vocalist already seems at ease.

"You Got Lucky" is part of the album Long After Dark by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released in 1982.
