The presentation took place during a convention for the series
Corey Taylor, frontman of Slipknot and Stone Sour, took to the stage with actor Jensen Ackles, famous for his role as Dean Winchester in the television series Supernatural, and together they sang "Wanted Dead Or Alive," a classic by Bon Jovi.
The presentation took place in February during an official convention for the series in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is held annually. At the event, fans have access to a variety of shows and panels dedicated to the theme, with the participation of the cast and some special guests, such as Corey Taylor in this year's edition.
During an interview with Fangasm , Taylor revealed himself to be a big fan of the series: “I started watching Supernatural when it was in the third season and then I went back and binged the first two. Since then I download the episodes and buy the DVDs of the complete seasons.”
The musician also recounted that the meeting happened through a friend who is a fan of his bands and of Supernatural. “So she called me and asked if I would like to meet the guys [the main actors of the series] at a convention and I accepted. A few months later I found out that they are huge fans, especially Jensen, and that he would like to sing with me. Then I freaked out, right?”
“ It felt like I had won a competition or something, I was very happy ,” he says. When asked if he was nervous before performing, Corey confessed that he didn't know if the event's audience would “care about me, because when they said there would be a special guest everyone imagined it would be Misha Collins [the actor who plays Castiel], but people were really excited.”
