The album will be one of the band's heaviest

In an interview with Metal Hammer, Korn guitarist James 'Munky' Shaffer said that Corey Taylor's participation from Slipknot on the band's 12th album is fantastic.

"We have Corey singing on one of the songs and it's going to be a fan favorite because he really enjoyed recording it. On a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being our first album from 1994, this new record will definitely be a 9," Munky stated.

The album, which is expected to be released later this year, has not yet had its title revealed and will be the successor to 2013's "The Paradigm Shift," which already featured the return of Brian 'Head' Welch.
