The musician said they have every right to protest.
In an interview, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor commented on NFL players kneeling during the American national anthem.
“They have every right to kneel. We are Americans. It’s in the Constitution. We have the right to protest something that is happening now, which is police brutality against black people. People are trying to change the subject by saying that they are disrespecting the officers, and in doing so they steal the attention from the real issue. If you can’t support them, then you don’t understand what it means to be a true American.”
Taylor goes on to explain that this year alone, 712 people have been killed while in police custody.
