The wait is over! Corey Taylor has shared his first two solo singles with fans: “CMFT Must Be Stopped,” a collaboration with rappers Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie , and “Black Eyes Blue,” and announced the release date for his first solo album, CMFT .
The two songs released to give fans a glimpse of what a solo album from the Slipknot will sound like may surprise them. In "CMFT Must Be Stopped," with the initials standing for Corey Mother Fucking Taylor , various genres are explored, from hard rock, classic rock, and punk to hip-hop. The track is energetic and basically showcases the invincibility and power of being Corey Taylor.
The music video that came with the song features appearances by big names such as Rob Halford, Lars Ulrich, Scott Ian , and Marilyn Manson .
The track “Black Eyes Blue,” however, takes a different path, sounding a bit calmer and leaning towards a rock-pop blend that's perfect for radio.
To hear Taylor's first full solo project, the date is set: October 2nd, CMFT will be available on all streaming platforms. Excited?
