Taylor performed the covers in a solo show
Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor performed a solo show on April 14th. Called Corey Taylor & Friends, the performance included some cover songs and featured an opening act by Cherry Bombs . The group is led by Corey's fiancée, Alicia Dove .
Amateur footage shows versions of songs by Van Halen, Guns N' Roses , and Dead Boys .
Taylor said in a 2016 interview that it would be "very greedy" to launch a solo career. "I've been getting questions about it forever. But it's a good problem to have. At the same time, I'm in two fantastic bands. Why would I do that?"
