In a statement on social media, Corey Taylor announced that his participation in the Aftershock has been canceled.

The singer was scheduled to perform this Saturday, but had to cancel the performance due to a knee injury. Taylor also revealed that some members of his band and crew tested positive for COVID-19.

“During our show in Los Angeles last week, I fell on stage and suffered a significant knee injury. In addition, some members of our band and crew were impacted by COVID, and because of this, we were unable to perform,” he wrote in a statement.

Corey Taylor further emphasized that "the health and safety of our team and those attending the festival is of paramount importance to us." The singer thanked everyone who attended his tour and said he "can't wait" to celebrate with everyone again.

In 2019, Taylor underwent surgery on both knees . Recently, the vocalist indicated that the pain in his knees is one of the reasons why he thinks he won't be able to endure much more than five years of touring before retiring from the stage .

“It’s my knees and my feet,” she explains. “I have a broken big toe on one foot. I have gout around my feet and that ends up affecting my joints… It’s difficult. I’m not as agile as I used to be. I’m not 35 anymore. It’s difficult, but there are ways to do shows that don’t require you to be insane now.”
