Corey Taylor , vocalist of Slipknot , revealed which bands he believes will be part of the future of metal.
In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Taylor said: “I think the underground will always be healthy. That’s where most of the trendsetters, the sharpest artists are.”
"Whether it's bands like Knocked Loose or... there's this fantastic band called Ho99o9 , which is kind of hip hop, metal, hardcore: they're good in so many genres. They're really good."
He also talked about the bands from the last 10 years that impressed him. “Well, obviously, Rival Sons is there. Royal Blood is also a great rock band. There’s something visceral in their music that’s very, very good.”
“If you want to get into heavier stuff, Code Orange is fantastic. Knocked Loose: their new album is insane, oh my God! I mean, if you need music to work out to, that’s the album you put on; it’s incredible. And there’s this band… I don’t know if anyone’s ever heard of them… Slipknot,” he joked.
