During the pandemic, moments of boredom can lead us to try new things, or to open ourselves up to new opportunities, but this attempt at a new experience by Corey Taylor was something no one saw coming.
The Slipknot has publicly applied for a position in New Jersey seeking a "dedicated Corey Taylor" to be the vocalist for a Slipknot tribute band , which describes itself as "the best Slipknot tribute in the world".
In the description, the band is looking for specific measurements to resemble Taylor, such as weight and height, as well as stage experience and audience leadership, in addition to, of course, possessing the same vocal tone as the singer.
What the tribute band didn't expect was that someone would apply and beat out all the competition, as happened when Taylor jokingly tweeted, "If you're interested, I'm also about 75kg," along with a link to the job posting.
