The Iranian band Confess released a powerful new song on the 5th, titled "Eat What You Kill," which comes with a lyric video .

The group, who received a 14-and-a-half-year prison sentence and public floggings for crimes related to the band's compositions under Iranian law, which even led them to seek asylum in Norway, return with a song that makes it clear that their love for metal, despite the difficulties, is more alive than ever.

“I’ve always been inspired by the dark side of things! The things we all learn somehow to deny or deal with,” says vocalist Nikan Khosravi . “For example, in us, as human beings, is the animal side! Most of us know how to hide it, but in reality we are no different from other wild mammals! We just know how to act civilly… But in times of danger like now, you can see that we can revert to our roots for survival! The reason [the song] is called 'Eat What You Kill' is because afterwards you also have to deal with the consequences of your actions! There’s an irony in that.”
