The ban will take place during Jack White's show.

The Revention Music Center in Houston, Texas, has announced that it will ban cell phones from the venue to prevent people from recording and taking photos of the show.

They revealed that the measure will be implemented on March 1st during a performance by singer Jack White.

Fans will have to leave their cell phones at the entrance in a secure location that will remain locked throughout the show, and can only be unlocked by a venue employee.

In a statement, they explain: “Attention: This is a no-cell phone show. Cameras and video cameras will not be allowed inside. We think you’ll have fun taking your eyes off your screens for a while and experiencing the music and our love for it as PEOPLE.”

They conclude by saying, "Repost our photos and videos as much as you like, and enjoy a cell phone-free and 100% human experience."

The problem of excessive cell phone use during concerts has caused some confusion between fans and their idols. Corey Taylor , frontman of the bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, is one of the artists who has spoken out most about the issue.
