Radiohead fans received a dose of hope regarding a future tour by the band. The website Alternative Nation shared the story that occurred during an autograph session last Sunday, the 10th, at Rough Trade East in London, where Colin Greenwood , the group's bassist, rekindled expectations of a possible tour.
All of this took place during an event marking the launch of his book How to Disappear: A Photographic Portrait of Radiohead , an unprecedented look at Radiohead over the years.
While chatting with a fan, Colin explained why the track “Let Down” had disappeared from live shows. “We thought it didn’t sound that good, so we stopped playing it. And then, when we finally started playing it again, it sounded amazing.” The bassist was referring to recent rehearsals that, during a conference in September, he revealed had taken place (via NME ), indicating that the band has returned to exploring the track's potential live.
And the conversation brought even more good news. Continuing the conversation with the fan, the musician also made a promise. “When we tour again, and I’m sure we will, [“Let Down”] will be on the setlist. If you’re at any of those shows, you’ll probably end up hearing it.” The statement generated great enthusiasm, suggesting that a return to the stage may be in the group's plans.
