Coldplay pays tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with a cover of "Changes".

British musicians played the song "Changes" in tribute to the Prince of Darkness.

During the show held last night (22), at Nissan Stadium, in Nashville, Coldplay paid a touching tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with a version of the ballad “Changes”, a Black Sabbath ( via Nme.com ). This tribute took place shortly after the official announcement of the death of the vocalist, who passed away at the age of 76, surrounded by the love of his family.

“Ozzy was a gift full of genius, talent and character to the world,” declared vocalist Chris Martin . “We would like to dedicate this entire show to him. Furthermore, we send our love to his family.” At the end of the performance, in an emotional atmosphere, Martin added: “Ozzy, we love you, wherever you are going.”

"Changes" marked generations and got a special version with Kelly Osbourne.

The song “Changes” was originally released on the 1972 album Vol. 4 and represented an emotional turning point in Black Sabbath's career. Decades later, Ozzy and his daughter, Kelly Osbourne , revisited the track in a duet released in 2003. With adapted lyrics and an even more intimate tone, this new version won over a new generation of fans.

Coldplay's tribute is therefore part of the wave of tributes that has swept the music world since the announcement of Ozzy Osbourne's death. In addition, artists such as Ghost , Alice Cooper , Elton John , Yungblud , Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day , Jack White , and Gojira have publicly expressed their condolences. Similarly, the vocalist's former bandmates— Tony Iommi , Bill Ward , and Geezer Butler —have also paid their respects.

Yungblud led a tribute at an event featuring Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and others.

Another recent highlight was Yungblud's performance during the Back To The Beginning , held earlier this month in Birmingham. This show officially marked Ozzy's farewell to the stage, both in his solo career and with Black Sabbath. In addition, the event featured heavyweight acts such as Guns N' Roses , Metallica , Korn , Tool , Slayer , Pantera , Alice In Chains , Anthrax , and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith .

On that occasion, Yungblud presented his own version of “Changes.” He played accompanied by a stellar band consisting of Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme , II from Sleep Token on drums, and Adam Wakeman – son of Rick Wakeman and keyboardist for Ozzy's band. Furthermore, the band officially released the recording of the performance, with Osbourne's approval, and donated the profits to charities such as Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorns Children's Hospice.

A farewell charm: Yungblud's gift to Ozzy

Behind the scenes of the event, Yungblud presented Ozzy with a custom-made gold cross. This gesture expressed his gratitude for a necklace he had received years earlier from Osbourne himself as a good luck charm. Undoubtedly, the moment moved fans and artists in attendance, concluding the night with a symbol of respect and admiration for one of the most iconic figures in heavy metal history.
