Cobra Spell announced last Tuesday, the 17th, that they will be going on an indefinite hiatus and have cancelled all scheduled shows.

The heavy metal band made the announcement on social media. According to the statement, after a period of reflection on their journey, the members decided that the best alternative in the face of the challenges they are currently facing is an indefinite hiatus, and they have also cancelled all performances scheduled for 2026. Read the full announcement:

"Today, we have to share some heartbreaking news with you. After a long period of reflection, as a band, we have reached a point of no return that leads us to completely halt our musical activities (including all shows planned for 2026). The essence and foundation of the project need a break. And we believe that the best way to get through this moment is to put Cobra Spell on an indefinite hiatus.".

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all these years. If we were able to create music, tour, and live unforgettable experiences, it was largely thanks to you. From the first day Cobra Spell existed until today, every word, every message, every gesture of support, and every smile we saw on stage made this entire journey worthwhile.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone in the industry who has supported us along the way — promoters, venues, technical teams, media, managers, photographers, and all the bands with whom we have had the opportunity to share the stage.

We would like to thank each and every musician who was part of the band at some point during this journey. Everything that begins one day ends, and today we have to say goodbye — at least for now. Of course, our journeys as musicians don't end here. We encourage you to continue following our musical careers. We are at @soniaanubis, @afunerailles and @krisvega_ for any new projects and many other beautiful things yet to come.

Thank you for being a part of this story. We will always carry you with us. Forever yours,
Cobra Spell.

The decision impacted their previously confirmed participation in Bangers Open Air 2026 , which they recently cancelled due to health reasons affecting the band members.

666 the only album released in 2023 by the group under the Napalm Records , was promoted on a Latin American tour that passed through several Brazilian cities, including São Paulo, Curitiba, Brasília, Cuiabá and Goiânia, in 2024.
