The American band Clutch will return to Brazil in July of this year. After a show was canceled due to the pandemic, Powerline Music & Books confirmed a single performance by the Maryland quartet in the country for July 18th, in São Paulo, at Fabrique Club. Tickets are already on sale.
Clutch will be presenting the tour for their album Sunrise on Slaughter Beach, the band's thirteenth studio album . It was released on September 16, 2022, by the band's own label, Weathermaker Music. It is Clutch's first studio album since Book of Bad Decisions in 2018.
Now, the production company has announced the German-Brazilian band Fuzz Sagrado as the opening act for the event, marking their first show in the city of São Paulo.
Sacred Fuzz
Fuzz Sagrado is the new band of Chris Peters , the creative mind behind Samsara Blues Experiment , a leading name in psychedelic/stoner rock worldwide, who toured Brazil twice.
After the band broke up, Peters emigrated to Brazil and started this new project in 2021, initially as a solo studio project. Two albums were released, A New Dimension (2022) and Luz e Sombra (2023), and three EPs.
In 2024, Fuzz Sagrado transformed into a three-member band: Guilherme Bordin (bass) and Lucas Fursy (drums). Fuzz Sagrado follows a similar path to Samsara Blues Experiment: the band plays psychedelic blues and stoner rock influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Black Sabbath , and more.
In this show, Fuzz Sagrado will play songs from the Samsara Blues Experiment.
