Slipknot 's highly anticipated seventh studio album still seems to be in its early stages, but it's already generating buzz. The band has kept the details of the follow-up to We Are Not Your Kind , but Corey Taylor has revealed that the album has the potential to be "conceptual," while Clown claims he's allowing himself to be "very creative" during the songwriting process.

Now, in a recent conversation with the host of Download Festival , Clown spoke a little more about what to expect from the new album: “I’m not going to say how many songs we’ve finished because, honestly, I can’t, but I can say that me and the guys are very happy. [Corey] Taylor is singing at a level I’ve never heard before, which makes me very emotional.”

The percussionist continued to heap praise on his bandmate, stating that Corey is his “favorite singer on the planet” and that it’s great to be able to make music with the audience’s support in letting them just do what they want to do. “We write great songs and because of that my favorite singer on the planet sang these songs,” said Clown. “We’re making divine music and we’re having a lot of fun. It’s been great being around everyone, we’re all in the best state of mind I’ve ever seen. It’s been a lot of fun being with the band.”
