In an interview with NME , Shawn Crahan , the Clown of Slipknot Eloy Casagrande 's arrival in the band positively influenced the professional environment, both in the studio and on stage.
“Eloy is in the band and there’s something going on between the nine of us right now that’s a lot of fun. Things are flowing and we’ll probably have several albums coming up,” Crahan stated.
In April of this year, Casagrande was officially announced as the drummer for Slipknot.
“I’m being completely honest, it’s like a cloud has lifted. Whatever that cloud was… everyone is part of the cloud. Right now, everything is looking great,” he continued.

In addition to commenting on the Brazilian drummer, Shawn also revealed that at the end of their world tour, the band will go into the studio.
“We’ve been touring for a while and we’re slowly weaning ourselves off the long runs. We have a few shows next year, so we’ll get back to recovering from all the work we’ve done and working on the next material.”
Furthermore, the musician concluded the interview by giving fans the news that vocalist Corey Taylor has been working on compositions for the new project.
“Corey already has ideas, he’s writing lyrics and sending them to us. That doesn’t mean it’s set in stone or ready in any way.”
Internal Crises in Slipknot
Over the years, the band went through numerous disagreements behind the scenes, which often resulted in changes in members.
Since its initial formation in mid-1995, the band has gone through several changes, at one point including 19 members , with only Shawn Crahan remaining as a member.
According to Metal Hammer , the percussionist admitted to missing some of his bandmates, but stated that Eloy's arrival was a turning point for Slipknot.
