The life and career of legendary Metallica bassist Cliff Burton was celebrated in a special virtual event called Cliff Burton Day , on the 10th, the date on which the musician would have turned 59 if he were alive.
The special, which you can watch below, featured special guests such as Fred Cotton , James McDaniel , John Marshall , Harald Oimen , Metal Maria , Corrine Lynn , Sean Killian , as well as actors, writers, directors and many more.
Burton died at the age of 24 in a bus accident on September 27, 1986, in Sweden. Despite leaving us too soon, he participated in defining Metallica albums such as Kill 'Em All (1983), Ride The Lightning (1984), and Master Of Puppets (1986), in addition to contributing to the composition of several of the band's classics.
