The collectible is available for pre-order until March 10th for $55 (approximately R$280) on the store's official website . Part of the money raised will be donated to the Cliff Burton Music Scholarship Fund .

Shipping is expected to begin at the end of the Brazilian summer. This new product is part of the Ultimates! line, and its release coincided with what would have been the bassist's 61st birthday, on February 10th.

On what would have been the bassist's birthday, his hometown of Castro Valley, California, celebrated Cliff Burton Day . The day was first dedicated to him in 2018, and this year it was commemorated with a series of online events.

Cliff Burton died on September 27, 1986, the day Metallica played in Stockholm, Sweden, in what would be the bassist's last show . The band was asleep on the tour bus when it veered off the road and overturned, throwing Burton out the window.

The bus fell on top of the bassist and killed him. Cliff Burton was 24 years old.
