The life and career of legendary Metallica bassist Cliff Burton will be celebrated in a special virtual event called Cliff Burton Day , which takes place tomorrow, the 10th, the date on which the musician would have turned 59 if he were alive.
The special will air on director Nicholas Gomez Twitch channel starting at midnight (Brasilia time), and according to Blabbermouth , will feature special guests Fred Cotton , James McDaniel , John Marshall , Harald Oimen , Metal Maria , Corrine Lynn , Sean Killian , as well as actors, writers, directors, and many more.
Burton died at the age of 24 in a bus accident on September 27, 1986, in Sweden. Despite leaving us too soon, he participated in defining Metallica albums such as Kill 'Em All (1983), Ride The Lightning (1984), and Master Of Puppets (1986), in addition to contributing to the composition of several of the band's classics.
