Claustrofobia Sepultura 's farewell shows in the United States. The Celebrating Life Through Death tour will begin in the country in September and will also feature performances by death metal veterans Obituary and iconic New York hardcore pioneers Agnostic Front.
Guitarist Marcus D'Angelo spoke about the moment: “It was an indescribable honor to be invited by Sepultura, alongside Obituary and Agnostic Front, to join their US tour. The tour is a farewell tour, but the atmosphere is one of pure celebration.”
“Being able to share the stage with these giants, pioneers who inspired entire scenes and created all the subgenres of metal and hardcore, will be very special and totally meaningful for us. The fans will have top-notch performances and will be part of this story that is about to be written. We all know very well the potential of this tour and what it holds for the fans; it will be a total explosion.”
He continued: “It will be an incredible opportunity to show the large audience in the United States that the legacy of Legitimate Brazilian Metal is alive, healthy, and more powerful than ever. Living in the present is always our best attitude, and everyone will see that in our performance. Much gratitude to everyone who cheers for our prosperity. And once again: Thank you for everything, Sepultura.”
General ticket sales begin this Friday, June 7th, through Sepultura's official website. Check out the tour dates below.
