Claustrofobia premieres music video for the track “Riff Cult”; watch it now

"The music is a celebration and homage to guitar riffs," says vocalist Marcus D'Angelo

The celebrated Brazilian thrash band Claustrofobia has some exciting news: the music video for their single “Riff Cult,” which premiered yesterday, the 2nd, on Decibel Magazine , one of the biggest American heavy metal publications.

“The music is a celebration and homage to guitar riffs,” says vocalist Marcus D'Angelo . “We consider it a culture, a cult. It's the hook of all metal, everything is born from the guitar riff. And riff by riff, we are fueling our passion for metal, fueling our desire to continue the legacy. The riff is what gets us hooked in a good way. During this quarantine, the love for metal became more evident, without shows and without contact with the fans, so we decided to pay tribute and celebrate.”

“We recorded everything in the garage at Swamp Loco Studio in Las Vegas, where we keep our equipment and rehearse,” he continues. “Just the three of us playing with a lot of intensity and a very adrenaline-fueled edit. We added images of the tattoo I got on my fingers with Carlos Aguilar High Voltage studio in Los Angeles, which gave it the necessary atmosphere.”
