The band Claustrofobia released today, the 7th, “Corrupted Self”, the second single from the group's upcoming heavy metal album. With the brutal and aggressive sound for which the band is known, the track also features Marc Rizzo , former guitarist of Soulfly , who added guitar solos that complement the band's energy.

Claustrofobia met Rizzo when they played a show with Soulfly in Brazil, and they stayed in touch. Some time later, the two bands played together in what ended up being Claustrofobia's last show before the pandemic, in Las Vegas. It was on that day that Rizzo offered to participate in the band's new album: “It was great working with Claustrofobia. I've been a big fan of theirs for a long time, they are one of the best metal bands today and in Brazil.”

Regarding the collaboration, vocalist Marcus D'Angelo comments: “It was an honor to have Marc as a guest on our new album; he's a guitar legend and spent many years playing with icons of Brazilian metal. He knows well how metal is a part of us, and he delivered an epic solo on the album's most brutal track.”

The band's new album, Unleeched, will be the first to feature bassist Rafael Yamada. The project was produced by Adair Daufembach alongside the band itself, and is scheduled for release in March. Pre-orders for the album are already available in the US via Metal Assault Records , and it will soon be available in Brazil via Wikimetal .
