The band Claustrofobia reflects on faith in their new music video “Stronger Than Faith,” filmed in Nelson, a ghost town in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The track is part of the band's latest album, Unleeched , released by Wikimetal Music .
The song's lyrics seek a meaning that is even greater than faith itself, a concept distorted by society because it is associated with religion, as Marcus D'Angelo in a press release.
“We have to believe in our steps regardless of the unknown future, but it’s not enough to just have faith, it’s necessary to have devotion to sacrifice, to volunteer in the battle for conquest, to tame our own demons that haunt us as if it were the darkest cult of the century,” he explains.
In the video, made entirely by the band and edited by drummer Caio D'Angelo , we can learn a little more about this ghost town, abandoned with fully furnished houses and cars. In the images, we can see the region of the historic Techatticup Mine, the oldest and richest gold mine in southern Nevada (USA), which was abandoned after the gold ran out in 1941.
Once frequented by thousands of people in search of gold, and also the site of numerous murders caused by disputes over wealth, the city was the band's unanimous choice for its visual appeal and "incredible and strong energy," as the frontman explained.
