The list contains numerous surprises
The British magazine Classic Rock has released its list of the best albums of the year, according to its staff.
They chose Queens Of The Stone Age's album Villains as the best of the year, beating out Alice Cooper, Roger Waters, Deep Purple, and Robert Plant, among others.
In an interview, Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age said, "The most important thing about this album was redefining our sound .
